RZB Rudolf Zimmermann, Bamberg GmbH recognised as a leading innovator
Überlingen – RZB Rudolf Zimmermann, Bamberg GmbH is one of this year’s leading innovators in the German SME sector. The Bamberg-based company will be presented with the Top 100 award, now in its 24th year, by Ranga Yogeshwar, Professor Nikolaus Franke and compamedia.
This is the second time that RZB Rudolf Zimmermann, Bamberg GmbH has joined this elite group. The independent panel of judges particularly praised the success of the company’s innovations.
RZB Rudolf Zimmermann, Bamberg GmbH understands how to come out on top in the global lighting sector, which is seeing many new entrants to the market. The (literal) patented recipe here is a mixture of smart technology and excellent design. A winning combination which enabled the TOP 100 winner and LED specialist to develope a new moisture-proof luminaire that builds on a completely new design principle and, in addition to economic advantages, also offers lighting and functional improvements. This has defined a new standard for this product segment.
Thanks to innovations like this, more than 60 per cent of RZB’s revenue comes from new developments. The company has also registered a multitude of patents in the past three years, and its success in combining technology with an appealing design is clear from the more than 60 design awards that RZB has won since it was founded in 1939.
“We develop products which offer our customers added value and are very different to those of our competitors,” agreed the company’s two managing directors, Dr Alexander Zimmermann and Reiner Jürgens. Even RZB’s senior managers invest more than half of their working time in dealing with innovations. This is the second year in which this company, which employs more than 500 people, has been awarded the Top 100 seal of approval.
